Center House Terrace
Free space is available in the center house, which was renovated and reopened in 2021.
We provide bonfires, two-seater swings, hammocks, and more.
We have newly opened the BBQ Garden! You can enjoy BBQ there too.
The BBQ Garden is free for customers who order BBQ for the number of people.
*Equipment, tableware, and space can be used for 3,300 yen for 30 minutes.
We occasionally hold marshmallow and cheese grilling experiences at the bonfire area.

Pizza baking experience
At Shiozawa no Mori, you can enjoy the experience of cooking authentic Neapolitan-style pizza in a stone oven.
Knead the dough, add your favorite toppings, bake it in a stone oven, and enjoy your meal!

The entrance side of the tennis court fence is a free space.
Feel free to use the facility for games such as catch and Frisbee.
The Relaxation Terrace occasionally hosts live music performances with free drinks.

Please enjoy yourself at the "Play Area" on the hotel grounds.
*Please refrain from setting off fireworks that make popping noises.

Enjoying the hot springs
Tombo no Yu (Hoshino Resorts)
Hoshino Onsen opened in 1915. Since then, it has continued to be loved by people as a famous hot spring in the summer resort town of Karuizawa.
"Tonbo no Yu" is a drop-in bath with natural hot spring water that draws on the history of Hoshino Onsen.
It is about a 10-minute drive from our hotel.
Sengataki Onsen (Prince Hotel)
Karuizawa Sengataki Onsen is a hot spring that boasts beautiful scenery with different atmospheres throughout the four seasons and clear, soft, flowing water.
It is about a 12-minute drive from Shiozawa Forest.
Happu Onsen (Le Grand Karuizawa Resort)
This is a new natural hot spring facility that opened in 2018. The water is a "bicarbonate spring" that leaves your skin feeling smooth. It is an elegant hot spring where you can enjoy the scenery in all four seasons.
It is about a 12-minute drive from Shiozawa Forest.
Hirao Onsen Miharashi no Yu (next to Sakuminami Parada)
Miharashi no Yu can be accessed directly from Sakudaira Smart PA . It has excellent access to the expressway and is recommended for those returning from Karuizawa. From the open-air bath, you can enjoy a panoramic view of Sakudaira and the great outdoors of the Yatsugatake Mountains and the Northern Alps.
Shiozawa Forest is a 30-minute drive away.

Kazakoshi Park General Athletic Park
It was the venue for the 1964 Tokyo Olympics (equestrian) and the 1998 Nagano Olympics (curling), making it a rare place in the world to have hosted both Summer and Winter Olympic events.
You can enjoy sports such as Scup Karuizawa (swimming pool and gym), Karuizawa Ice Park (curling), outdoor skating rink, futsal, ice arena (ice hockey, figure skating), outdoor tennis courts, grounds, and general gymnasium (basketball, table tennis, martial arts).
Forest of Muse
Forest of Muse is a museum park consisting of three facilities: Karuizawa Picture Book Museum, Picturesque Garden, and Elz Toy Museum Karuizawa.
It is a 10-minute walk from the hotel, between Shiozawa Lake Taliesin and Kazakoshi Park.

Karuizawa Taliesin
Taliesin is a lush green space that encapsulates the nature of Karuizawa, where you can appreciate art, literature, historical architecture, and more, all centered around Lake Shiozawa. There are also plenty of recreational facilities where you can get some exercise and refresh yourself in the midst of nature.
It is a facility that can be enjoyed by children.
Karuizawa Senju Museum of Art
This museum houses and exhibits works by the world-renowned Japanese painter Hiroshi Senju, and also features a beautiful garden that is integrated into the building, designed by the unconventional architect Ryue Nishizawa.
There is a gallery and a museum shop.
The bakery and cafe is run by Boulangerie Asanoya, a long-established bakery in Karuizawa.

Asami Mitsuhiko Memorial Museum
The museum exhibits items related to Uchida Yasuo's works, including the famous detective Asami Mitsuhiko, as well as the author's handwritten manuscripts and favorite items.
It is a 1-minute walk from our hotel.

Karuizawa Glass Studio
This is a workshop where you can experience a variety of things, such as making glass and candles, to create memories of Karuizawa.
