Shiozawa Forest's Safety and Security Initiatives Against COVID-19

We would like to introduce to you the safety and security measures that Shiozawa Forest is taking against the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

・Measures against the 3 Cs and non-contact

We are offering services that allow guests to check in and check out outdoors, minimizing contact with staff and allowing guests to skip the check-out process.

Each cottage room can be accessed from the outside, so you will not be in a closed room with other guests.

There are extractor fans in the mini-kitchens in the guest rooms, and we also have an attic ventilation system on the second floor, so we will always ventilate the rooms before use.

We have installed plastic film at the front counter to prevent droplet infection.

In addition, microwaves which were previously only available in the front desk and lobby have now been installed in all guest rooms, so you can prepare meals in the comfort of your own room.

When you come to the front desk, we ask that you disinfect your hands with alcohol, and upon check-in, we ask that you inform us of your health condition and have your temperature taken.

・Staff measures

Upon arriving at work, employees are required to record their temperature, wash their hands and gargle thoroughly, and declare their health condition on a checklist.

If you have any concerns, please report them.

We also educate our employees on a daily basis to be mindful of how to protect themselves from infectious diseases.

・Room cleaning measures

First, we will ventilate the room after you have checked out.

At that time, we will spray alcohol and sodium hypochlorite disinfectant on doorknobs, sinks, toilets, tables, and other areas where contact is suspected to occur to disinfect them.

Cleaning staff will be wearing disposable gloves and masks.

Furthermore, before check-in, hotel staff will conduct a final check (double check), including disinfection, to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

・We will continue to improve the facilities available for guests to enjoy within the hotel grounds.

You can still enjoy tennis and badminton as usual, but we have also started renting out simple play equipment such as frisbees.

We also have Wii, board games, and Blu-ray players available for rental in the guest rooms.

You can also enjoy the experience in the privacy of your room.

Starting in September, we have opened a new mini-theater and table tennis court that can be enjoyed by just one group at a time.

You can also enjoy activities such as treasure hunting on the premises and baking your own pizza.
